Mykolayiv Region has earned a strong reputation as an important business,
political and cultural center in the south of Ukraine


 The favorable conditions of location of Mykolayiv Region have determined the development of powerful diversified industry, advanced agro-industry, extensive transport network, port facilities and the creation of substantial production, scientific and social infrastructure on its territory.

 
 The region is dominant in shipbuilding, in production of gas-turbines, alumina, electric-power, in sun-flower and corn growing. The port infrastructure is one of key factors in the economic growth of Mykolayiv.


The major volume of total exports is carried out via Mykolayiv merchant seaport and private terminals.
